Front Range Lumber March 2023 lumber price review

Lumber and Building Material Prices are Down!

Framing lumber prices are relatively stable as of the middle of March 2023. They are also less than HALF of the levels they were at in March of 2022.

Most other categories – cedar, engineered wood products, plywoods, molding and others are almost significantly less in price than a year ago.

Demand remains wimpy and the supply side is still churning out lumber. Winter weather throughout much of the country hampers demand (and interrupts the supply flow!).

We see this trend continuing for another month or so with prices drifting upwards thereafter However, even with increase, wood products remain very low in prices when compared to the last 2-3 years!
